RewardRoots is a parent-managed educational family platform.
This Privacy Policy explains how RewardRoots collects, uses, stores, and protects information when a parent or guardian uses the platform and creates child profiles.
1. Parent-Managed Child Access
RewardRoots is designed so that parents or legal guardians create and control accounts.
Children do not independently register for RewardRoots.
Children access the platform only through parent-managed profiles that are created, supervised, and controlled by a parent or guardian.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information provided directly by a parent or guardian, including:
- name
- email address
- username
- account credentials
- family configuration choices
- rewards, chores, quizzes, and educational content created inside the platform
We may also collect information related to child profiles that a parent or guardian creates, such as:
- child display name
- child username if a parent chooses to enable login access
- task completion history
- quiz progress and learning activity
- reward and points activity
We may also collect technical and usage information, including:
- device and browser information
- IP address
- login and activity timestamps
- pages or features used within the platform
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide and operate RewardRoots
- create and manage parent accounts and child profiles
- support chores, quizzes, daily tasks, rewards, and educational experiences
- maintain security, detect misuse, and troubleshoot problems
- improve the platform and family experience
- keep records of legal acceptance, account actions, and other important account events
4. Child Profile Data Practices
RewardRoots is designed to minimize direct child registration and keep child participation within a parent-managed structure.
Parents control the creation, supervision, editing, and deletion of child profiles.
RewardRoots does not offer independent child self-registration.
Parents may request deletion of child profile data associated with their family account.
5. How Information May Be Shared
RewardRoots does not sell personal information.
We may share information only when reasonably necessary, including:
- with service providers that help host, secure, or operate the platform
- to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or valid governmental requests
- to protect the safety, rights, or security of RewardRoots, families, or the public
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of business assets
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or operational obligations.
Child profile data may remain available to the parent account until it is deleted or the account is closed, subject to routine backups and legal retention needs.
7. Security
RewardRoots uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect account and profile information.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Parent Rights and Controls
Parents or legal guardians may:
- review information associated with their account
- manage child profiles and permissions
- request deletion of child profile data
- contact RewardRoots with privacy questions or requests
9. Policy Updates
RewardRoots may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we do, the Last Updated date will be revised.
Continued use of RewardRoots after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
